Edinburgh Park

Station facts:

  • The station was opened in 2003
  • Edinburgh Park is the first intermediate station to be built between Haymarket and Linlithgow since 1951
  • Bathgate and Dunblane services call at Edinburgh Park, providing four trains an hour to Haymarket and Waverley and two to Brunstane and Newcraighall
  • Station facilities include:
    • Two platforms, lifts to a covered footbridge between the platforms
    • Four waiting shelters
    • Self service ticket machines and passenger information via a call point located on each platform
    • 24 hour CCTV which is closely monitored from regional control rooms
    • There is no car park at the station however Hermiston Gait Shopping complex car park is within a short walking distance

Edinburgh Park facts:

Key facts: Edinburgh Park is based to the West of Edinburgh within the confines of Edinburgh Business Park, adjacent to South Gyle, which is home to a number of high profile organisations including BT, Oracle and JPMorgan. Since the business park opened more than 20,000 jobs have been created and this is expected to rise to 30,000 over the next two years. The station is also close to the popular Hermiston Gait shopping centre.
